2008). It returns on the first Wednesday of every month, from 6:30-9 pm.

“I think open mic helps promote music in the community as part of the
 effort to promote all forms of art, Bob said. “It offers a chance for 
folks to gather and play music as well as develop new musical 
friendships. We try to foster our open mics as an opportunity for 
beginners, intermediates, as well as advanced performers to play. Young 
and old and all in between are welcome. “
Bob said the Historic Issaquah Train Depot is the perfect venue. “It 
has great ambience and allows us to focus exclusively on promoting music
 and musical friendships.”

February 4, March 4, April 1, April 29, June 3, July 1, August 5, 
September 2, October 7, November 4, December 2.

Notable Musical Artists Return to Historic Shell
ISSAQUAH, Wash., July 2, 2026 – The Downtown Issaquah Association (DIA) and the Washington Blues Society (WBS) resume the hot music summer series for its 12th year.
DIA and WBS will host artists every Thursday night from July 2nd&nbsp;through August 27th from 7 to 9 pm, at the Historic Shell Station located at 232 Front Street North. The artists represent diverse backgrounds, genres, and musical styles and draw crowds from throughout Washington state.
“Gas Station Blues is one of the most popular music series in the Seattle area,” said Christina Bruning. “We are honored to attract such acclaimed artists, bringing listeners back again and again.” The series is live at Historic Shell but also streamed on DIA’s YouTube and Facebook channels.
Concert visitors to the Historic Shell often picnic in the adjacent Centennial Park with takeout from local restaurants, or they can purchase refreshments on-site from <a href="https://www.finsbistroissaquah.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Fins Bistro</a>. They bring lawn chairs, blankets, dancing shoes, and shared enthusiasm.
Performances are also live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube.

Keep Issaquah Beautiful Day is a community volunteer day 
led by the Downtown Issaquah Association. Neighbors, businesses, and 
civic partners come together to care for the places that make Issaquah 
special—through litter cleanup, planting, painting, and hands-on 
beautification across downtown and nearby areas. In just a few hours, 
volunteers make a visible difference.
More than a cleanup, the day builds civic pride and a 
shared sense of ownership. It connects people, supports local 
partnerships, and reinforces a simple idea: a vibrant, welcoming 
Issaquah is something we create together.
The program runs year-round with three large seasonal events (2026 
dates: Earth Day, Saturday April 18, Saturday July 11 &amp; Saturday 
October 31).
Clean-up kit check-out is available year-round – Grab a few friends and organize your own clean-up!
