CAPTION THIS: Historically Hip Trails Champion Gets Dressed Up

I was taking my pooch for a stroll when we happened upon this handsome statue with an impromptu update.

The statue of conservationist Harvey Manning, dedicated by the Issaquah Alps Trail Club in 2009, has been cleverly outfitted with a plaid shirt--with a few key cuts and safety pins.

Maybe my memory doesn't serve me, but it seems the shirt is a new addition for Harvey. The longtime conservationist penned a number of hiking guidebooks and was a fan of publicity stunts, according to an article in the Seattle Times.
