After eighteen months of collaboration, the City of Sammamish and AFSCME Council 2 have established the City’s first labor contract.

"We look forward to a new era of collaboration and employee engagement and look forward to continuing to provide the highest level of service to the residents of Sammamish,” said Rita Badh, Senior Human Services Coordinator at the City of Sammamish, who, along with other City employees spent many hours on the contract negotiations.

“We are looking forward to working with our labor partners to move the City’s goals forward in a mutually beneficial environment,” said Mary Beth Mercer, Human Resources Manager for the City of Sammamish.”

The contract was signed on July 14, 2021 at Sammamish City Hall.
