Deer's Rear Gets Caught In Fence, Issaquah Firefighters Free Her

A local resident's fence proved too big an obstacle for this deer. See photos of the rescue.

ISSAQUAH, WA - Deer usually have no problem leaping over fences. But not this time.

A doe got trapped Wednesday jumping over a fence whose pickets were spaced just a little too far apart. The deer's rear got caught, leaving the animal with only two hooves on the ground.

Firefighters from Eastside Fire Station 78 in Issaquah came to the rescue. The firefighters used a pole to lift the deer up over the fence. She ran into the woods "very happy to be free," the department reported - and with no injuries.
