Deputies Nab Car Prowl Suspect In Issaquah

Investigators said the man suspected in the crime also had a felony warrant for escaping DOC custody.

ISSAQUAH, WA — The King County Sheriff's Office said a man was arrested Thanksgiving morning after he stole several items from a car in unincorporated Issaquah. Deputies said the call came in from Cedar Grove Road Southeast after a woman saw a man taking a purse and wallet out of her vehicle.

Deputies located a man matching the description walking nearby and found the stolen items in his backpack. According to the sheriff's office, investigators learned the man had a felony warrant for escaping Department of Corrections custody.

While all the stolen items were successfully recovered in this case, deputies said the incident serves as a good reminder to never leave valuables inside a vehicle.
