Eastside Fire Collects 15K Pounds Of Food, 1,500 Toys
The department's 2018 fundraising efforts will help Hopelink, the Issaquah Food Bank, and other charities.

From Eastside FD:December 20, 2018, the toy, food, and clothing drives that directly benefit Hopelink, the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank and the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank are wrapping up for the 2018 holiday season. Eastside Fire & Rescue has two more official events; this evening and tomorrow evening, both in Issaquah.
Due to the generosity of local businesses and community members, EF&R collected
over 300 totes, two huge rolling bins full of toys, clothing, and over 15,000 lbs. of nonperishable food. Separately, over 1500 individual toys were donated by the community during the Reindeer Engine drives throughout the neighborhoods. Along with the toys and food generously donated, EF&R received over $2,000 in cash that has been donated to assist local
families during the holiday season. Again, these programs are only successful due to the support of the community. EF&R would like to thank everyone for their donations, especially:
