Evergreen Academy Preschool Students Donate Food & Baby Supplies

Students collected nonperishable food items for Northwest Harvest and donated baby supplies to Eastside Baby Corner

Students at Evergreen Academy Preschool in Issaquah recently donated multiple boxes of food to local nonprofit Northwest Harvest and more than 60 baby items to Eastside Baby Corner. The donations were the result of school-wide drives, during which students collected nonperishable food items, as well as baby clothing, bedding, outerwear and toys to benefit local families in need. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back in their community.

Northwest Harvest is Washington’s own statewide hunger relief agency. The organization’s mission is to lead the fight for hungry people statewide to have access to nutritious food, while respecting their dignity and promoting good health. Its vision is ending hunger in Washington. Serving a broad area across King County, Eastside Baby Center serves as a diaper bank, a clothing bank and a food source for more than 800 kids each week.
