Flooding, Slide Activity Closes Several King County Roads Tuesday

Flooding and slide activity near the Snoqualmie River prompted multiple road closures Tuesday morning.

CARNATION, WA — A Flood Warning was in effect for several rivers in Western Washington Tuesday after heavy rain moved through the region Monday. Roads in Fall City, Snoqualmie and Carnation were closed Tuesday morning due to flooding, and a portion of Middle Fork Road was fully blocked after slide activity near the Oxbow Loop Trail.

The King County Flood Warning Center issued a Phase 3 flood alert for the Tolt and Snoqualmie rivers early Tuesday, and moderate flooding is possible upstream of Carnation. At least six roads had closures in place in Fall City, Carnation and Snoqualmie.
