Grab Free Seeds, Plants And Compost In Sammamish For Earth Day
There's still time to pre-register for free Earth Day gifts from Sammamish, with pickups scheduled for Saturday morning.
SAMMAMISH, WA — The city of Sammamish is offering residents a chance to pick up seeds, native plants and compost at the Beaver Lake Lodge this weekend, in honor of Earth Day. Pre-registration is required to receive the items and can be completed using a simple online form.
Native Plant, Compost and Seed Giveaway:
- When: Saturday, April 24 at Beaver Lake Lodge (25101 SE 24th Street)
- 10 am - 12 pm
- Pre-registration required to receive items.
- Please wear a facial covering.
Visitors at the lodge will find a trio of booths with helpful information from the city, the Sammamish Stewards and the Sammamish Botanical Garden Society. Other Earth Day activities are planned between Thursday and Sunday, including environmental worksite tours, family scavenger hunts and volunteer events. Sammamish officials have also assembled a walking tour guide, allowing visitors to explore several active restoration sites across the city.
