Hiker, 78, Rescued After Night In Cascades Wilderness
A King County search and rescue crew on Thursday airlifted the injured hiker out of the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA - A 78-year-old hiker who fell Wednesday while hiking in the wilderness north of Snoqualmie Pass was rescued by a King County search and rescue crew on Thursday morning. The hiker was airlifted by helicopter from the Gold Lake area.
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the hiker fell Wednesday and was in-and-out of consciousness. The hiker was with a friend, and the pair spent the night together on the trail. On Thursday morning, the friend ran to his car and tracked down a phone to call authorities.
The man was pulled from the woods around noon Thursday and had a minor head injury. The hiker was treated for his injuries.
