Monday Fire Damages Sammamish Home

Eastside fire was responding to the report at around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

SAMMAMISH, WA - A fire broke out in a home in the Sahalee area Monday night, according to Eastside Fire and Rescue. The fire started in the home's bedroom before spreading to the attic. Firefighters were able to stop the blaze there.

The fire was reported at around 5:30 p.m. at a home along the 21700 block of Northeast 29th Street. That address is in the Sahalee area in a small neighborhood surrounded on all sides by the Sahalee Country Club.

Capt. Steve Westlake said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No one, including firefighters, was injured during the fire.
