Illuminating Women group offers free event

The March 20th Illuminating Women education focus will highlight women's health issues

The anticipated growth of women-owned businesses is driving market focus on many levels. Women understand a key factor in the success of so many women-owned businesses is the support from a “community” or “village” of like-minded women who lock arms in support of one another and raise each other up. Such is the premise for Issaquah’s Illuminating Women group, founded by Cecilia Gambill of Illuminating Contractors and Jill Nichols-Hicks, known by many as a “networker extraordinaire” and successful business owner as an Independent Associate with Isagenix (Health and Wellness Products).

The name “Illuminating Women” playfully echoes Cecilia’s electrical contracting/services business, Illuminate Contracting, located on Front Street in downtown Issaquah. The completely serious side of the group is a founding initiative to be something beyond a typical networking group. Women not only desire a networked community but a deeper level of education about business management, marketing resources, think-tank opportunities, finances and more to broaden their effectiveness in the market place. Cecilia and Jill make that happen with guest speakers at their monthly event, which is currently held at Cecilia’s business studio.

The March 20th Illuminating Women education focus will highlight women’s health issues. Erica Black (EricaBlackWellness.com) will share insights about the role of biofeedback analysis, as a Peak Performance and Stress Reduction Specialist. Diana Duke (Certified Clinical Thermographer, AdvancedHealthcareAlliance.com) will share an exciting new way to routinely screen breast health without harmful ionizing radiation and breast compression via Medical Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) - Thermography. More detail can be found in her article (page 12) featured in the Issaquah Reporter’s Better Living Health Section.
