Issaquah City Administrator To Leave Job
City Administrator Emily Moon took over the city administrator job in September.

ISSAQUAH, WA - Issaquah will launch a nationwide search to find a replacement for City Administrator Emily Moon, who is leaving the job in August. Moon is leaving to "pursue a long-held dream to travel extensively" with her family, the city said.
Moon came to Issaquah in 2014 as deputy city administrator, and then took over as interim city administrator in January 2018. She was named permanent city administrator last September.
"There’s no tragic story here about an ending – but instead one of opportunity and new beginnings," Moon said in a statement. "While I wish the timing was different – there are so many good things happening in Issaquah that I want to be part of – I am ready to fulfill a promise made to my family years ago, and to learn and grow through this next adventure."
