Issaquah Dog Owners Invited To Help Fight Crime

The "paws on patrol" program helps keep neighborhoods safe, police say.

ISSAQUAH, WA - Police are inviting local dog owners to help them fight crime while walking their dogs.

The Issaquah Police's Paws on Patrol program enlists dog owners and trains them to spot and prevent crime while they're out-and-about with their dogs.

The local program is part of the national Dog Walker Watch program, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Participants attend a brief training class, and dogs get an official Paws On Patrol bandanna at the end.
