Issaquah Firefighters Return Today From Woolsey Fire
A group of Eastside firefighters that was on wildfires in California will return home this morning.

ISSAQUAH, WA - A group of firefightes from Issaquah-based Eastside fire will return home today. The firefighters should arrive back at headquarters around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the department.
Members of Washington's Strike Team 5 have been in the Malibu area helping with the Woolsey Fire since Nov. 11.
"The strike team was requested to hold up for a few days and assist with vegetation fires and structure protection during the event," Shoreline fire reported Monday morning.

Members of Strike Team 5 include firefighters from Kent, Duvall, Shoreline, Snoqualmie, Eastside fire (based in Issaquah), and Port Townsend, and they were among the 1,300 firefighters fighting the Woolsey Fire.
The Woolsey Fire had burned about 97,000 acres as of Monday, and was not expected to be fully contained until Thursday. Rain will move into southern California later this week, but that brings the possibility of mudslides.
