Issaquah Fred Meyer Employee Stabbed During Robbery
Two Fred Meyer employees tried to stop a shoplifter, but one ended up with a stab wound.

ISSAQUAH, WA - A local Fred Meyer employee was stabbed during a robbery at the store along Lake Sammamish Parkway on Monday afternoon, according to Issaquah police. Two employees tried to stop a shoplifter, but the thief pulled a knife on them, police said.
The incident happened near 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Fred Meyer along the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway. The two employees confronted a suspected shoplifter in the parking lot of the store. The shoplifter then pulled a knife on the employees and cut one of them. Police described the employee's injury as "minor."
The suspect ran from the scene down Southeast 62nd Street. Issaquah police and a K9 unit from Renton tried to track him down but were unsuccessful.
