Issaquah Homeowner Injured During Burglary Confrontation
The incident happened late Tuesday near Tibbetts Creek Park.

ISSAQUAH, WA - A homeowner interrupted a burglary on Tuesday night by confronting the suspect with a shotgun, Issaquah police say. The suspect fled, but police from several different teamed up to capture him.
The burglary happened near 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of State Road 900 and James Bush Road. The homeowner heard the burglar, and then confronted him with a shotgun. A struggle ensued and the gun went off, and the homeowner sustained minor injuries.
The suspect then fled the home on foot, but police from Redmond, Bellevue, Issaquah, and the King County Sheriff's Office banded together to track him down. A Redmond K9, Remy, ultimately found the burglar, a 31-year-old man from Kirkland, hiding in a thicket of blackberries.

Both the suspect and the homeowner were checked and treated for minor injuries.
