Issaquah Joins With Other Eastside Cities To Celebrate Welcoming Week

Over 30 events are planned throughout the Eastside bringing all segments of the community together

Mayor Mary Lou Pauly, along with mayors of Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and Sammamish issued a joint proclamation supporting Welcoming Week across the Eastside from September 13 through 22, 2019. They join hundreds of other jurisdictions across the nation celebrating the
contributions of all residents to the health, vitality and prosperity of our local communities.

Over 30 events are planned throughout the Eastside bringing all segments of the community together. From potlucks, to discussion groups, to arts and crafts, local governments and community groups are planning multiple ways for community members to meet their neighbors and make connections. The Proclamation will be presented later this month at Issaquah Welcomes You, an event taking place at the Community Center on September 20 during Welcoming Week.

Join the City of Issaquah, the Issaquah Library, and Issaquah School Foundation’s Cultural Bridges for a fun, free, family-friendly event to celebrate Issaquah’s cultural diversity in recognition of Welcoming Week. Festivities will include music, world dances, informational booths and food trucks. Wearing traditional dress is encouraged.
