Issaquah Kiwanis Hosting Blood Drive During National Blood Donor Month
The day-long blood drive will take place on Jan. 31.

ISSAQUAH, WA - The Kiwanis Club of Issaquah is hosting a blood drive here on Jan. 31 to mark that January is National Blood Donor Month.
The blood drive runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the Eastside Fire and Rescue headquarters at 175 Newport Way Northwest.
Bloodworks Northwest will operate a mobile donation vehicle outside the fire station and will take donors every five minutes. The process of donating blood can take up to an hour. You can reserve an appointment by visiting the Bloodworks Northwest website.

Almost anyone over age 18 and who weighs more than 114 pounds can donate; people age 16 or 17 can donate with permission from a parent. However, certain conditions, like having the flu or a cold, or being pregnant, will prevent you from donating.
