Issaquah School District Seeks Input on Educator Evaluation Process
Take the district's survey by Dec. 12 as it considers which of three evaluation methods to pilot next fall.

During the 2010 legislative session, lawmakers passed a bill to standardize teacher and principal evaluations. The resulting law (RCW 28A.405.100) requires school districts to implement the new system by fall 2013.
The state is now entering a pilot phase to test three specific frameworks for the evaluation system, and Issaquah has agreed to be among several districts that will be part of the process. The district must select one of the state frameworks to pilot in our local classrooms beginning next school year. As part of its decision-making process about which framework to select, it is soliciting community feedback.
If you are interested, please take a moment to read more about each of the three frameworks and provide your input via a survey open now through Dec. 12.
