Issaquah Student Wins In Latest National Merit Scholarship Round

Five students from Washington are among the 550 winners across the U.S.

ISSAQUAH, WA - The winners of the final round of National Merit Scholarships were announced Monday, with five students from Washington among the 550 scholarship recipients. The scholarships are worth between $500 and $2,000.

Here are the latest winners:

Katherine R. Swofford, Auburn, Homeschool
Probable career field: Linguistics
National Merit Liberty University Scholarship
Liberty University is a private, evangelical university dedicated to academic excellence and Training Champions for Christ. Liberty offers 60-plus degree programs through 10 schools: the College of Arts and Sciences, Helms School of Government, School of Aeronautics, School of Business, School of Communication, School of Education, School of Engineering and Computational Sciences, School of Law, School of Religion and the Seminary. Select students can apply to participate in Liberty's Honors Program.

National Merit Hillsdale College Scholarship
Hillsdale College, founded in 1844, is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college that offers 32 traditional majors to its 1,150 students.
