Issaquah Suing Talus Developer Over Landslide Damage
The city wants the developer to pay close to $3 million in damages.
ISSAQUAH, WA - The city of Issaquah is suing the Talus developer over damage to city property and facilities allegedly caused by a construction-related landslide.
According to the suit, development of a Talus parcel on a hillside along Shangri-La Way caused a slow moving landslide. The slide allegedly damaged the road, which is owned by the city, and city-owned water facilities.
Issaquah wants the developer, ORA Talus 90, to pay nearly $3 million for negligence related to the slide. The case was originally filed in King County Superior Court, but has been moved to federal court in Seattle.
