Man Critically Injured In SR 18 Hit-And-Run, WSP Seeks Witnesses

Troopers said it appeared the man was hit while trying to flag down traffic after some car trouble. The driver who hit him left the scene.

ISSAQUAH, WA — Troopers are putting out a public call for witnesses to come forward after a man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash late Thursday night. Washington State Patrol said the man had car troubles along eastbound State Route 18, near Interstate 90, in the Snoqualmie area.

Witnesses reported the driver had attempted to flag down traffic and possibly stepped into a lane when he was hit by a small white sedan. Witnesses told troopers the car did not stop and continued onto Interstate 90.

WSP said medics found the man on the ground and unresponsive. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

According to troopers, witnesses did not have a detailed description of the suspect vehicle, other than that it was a smaller white car.
