Police Officer's Son Killed After Confronting Car Prowler At Beaver Lake Park: Police
The man was run over by the suspect, and police are looking for the suspect vehicle.

SAMMAMISH, WA - A man - the son of a Seattle police officers - was killed at Beaver Lake Park after confronting a car prowler Wednesday afternoon, police are saying.
The King County Sheriff's Office says that the victim and his girlfriend confronted the prowler, who was breaking into their car. The suspect then got into his car and started driving toward them. The victim pulled out his gun and fired several shots, but the suspect ran him over and killed him, police say.
Police are looking for a gold SUV with bullet holes.

“My condolences and thoughts are with a veteran officer of the Seattle Police Department whose son was killed trying to prevent a crime in Sammamish yesterday afternoon," Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said in a statement. "The City is committed to supporting the King County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into this horrible crime. I send my prayers to the officer and his family.”
