Man In Ski Mask Tries To Lure Girl, 14, In Issaquah: Police
A man tried to coax a 14-year-old girl into his car in Issaquah on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

ISSAQUAH, WA - Police are reporting a child-luring incident that occurred just before 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. A 14-year-old girl was approached by a man along the 22000 block of Southeast 56th Street; the man told the girl to get into his car. He was wearing a black ski mask at the time of the incident, police say.
The teen ran from the scene and was able to contact police. The teen described the car as an older, dark-colored four-door vehicle, but the make and model is unknown.
Issaquah police are still investigating the incident, and city detectives are trying to find surveillance footage of the vehicle. If you have any information, contact Issaquah police at 425-837-3200.

Police also released the following tips on dealing with luring incidents:
- Never talk to a stranger.
- Never let a stranger get too close, whether the stranger is in a car or walking.
- Never tell a stranger any personal information, such as your name, age or address.
- Travel in groups, if possible.
- Stick to safe, well-lit paths when walking.
- Do not obstruct your hearing with iPods or portable music players when walking or waiting outside.
- If a stranger attempts to grab you, yell as loudly as you can and run away.
- Always alert an adult immediately if you are approached by a suspicious person.
