Sammamish Fall Recycling Event Planned This Weekend

SAMMAMISH, WA — Sammamish residents planning to tidy up heading into fall can take advantage of a free recycling event this weekend to unload some trickier items for free. The city is hosting a fall recycling event at Eastside Catholic School on Sept. 18, collecting tires, batteries televisions and other electronics.

2021 Fall Recycling Event - Sammamish

• Date: Sept. 18, 2021
• Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
• Location: Eastside Catholic School

The drop-off event will take in an array of items free of charge, including up to six tires.

Here's what you can bring:

• Tires: Limit 6 passenger tires per household (18 inches and below) free of charge. $1.50 for extra tires off rim. $3.00 for each passenger tire on rim. $9 charged for each large truck tire and $18 charged for each truck tire on rim (cash only). No oversized tires accepted.
• Electronics: DVD players, VCRs, stereo equipment, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and cellular phones (remove personal information). Computers and computer monitors (no charge), mouse, keyboards, tablet computers, and e-readers.
• Televisions: TV sets encased in plastic, wood console, sets encased in wood, and big screen TVs accepted (no charge).
• Lead acid batteries: Car, truck, marine, motorcycle, and sealed lead acid batteries accepted.
• Alkaline batteries: AAAA, AAA, AA, A, B, C, and D cell alkaline batteries. No rechargeable cell phone, lithium, or nickel-cadmium batteries accepted.
