Sammamish Man Injured In Hit-And-Run On SR 167

The motorcyclist was hit Wednesday morning in Renton, according to Washington State Patrol.

RENTON, WA - A motorcyclist from Sammamish was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run collision along SR 167 in Renton on Wednesday morning.

The 54-year-old man was heading southbound on SR 167 just south of I-405 around 8 a.m. when a blue sedan merged into him. The motorcyclist tried to steer away from the sedan, but ended up hitting the jersey barrier. He was ejected from the bike and onto the roadway.

The driver of the sedan did not stop, and state police are looking to arrest the driver on a charge of felony hit-and-run. Police do not have a description of the sedan beyond its color - and that it likely has damage to the front driver's side. If you see a car matching that description, contact the WSP district office in Bellevue at (425) 401-7788.
