Stormy Weather Reminders For Sammamish

City officials shared a few tips ahead of a wet and gusty Wednesday.

SAMMAMISH, WA — Sammamish city officials are sharing a few weather reminders ahead of a wet storm system that will bring steady rain and high winds to the region. According to the NWS, several other storms will follow throughout the week, but gusts will likely peak on Wednesday, reaching up to 30 mph in the Sammamish area. Since many trees still have their leaves, the city says there is a potential for downed branches and standing water on the roads, due to clogged storm drains.

A few storm reminders:

  • Report power outages to Puget Sound Energy via their website, app, or by phone.
  • Urgent matters, such as trees down on the road, should be directed to public works at 425-295-0700.
  • Non-urgent incidents can be reported online.
  • To report downed power lines call PSE at 888-225-5773 or call 911.
  • Do not rely on social media to report emergencies.
  • Take a moment to review the city's emergency preparedness guides.
