Slick Conditions Cause 2 Crashes Along I-90

The second crash happened when a driver hit a vehicle involved in the first crash, according to Washington State Patrol.

PRESTON, WA - Two separate crashes in the same area along I-90 in Preston caused long delays early Monday morning. State police believe an icy roadway may have caused the crashes.

The first crash was reported around 7:45 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Exit 23. A car slid off the roadway and rolled over in the median. As state police were investigating the first crash, another car driving by the scene slid into the first crash scene.

Three people were taken to the hospital with serious or minor injuries, according to WSP spokesman Trooper Rick Johnson.
