Smog Alert For Puget Sound Due To Wildfire Smoke

Smog from wildfires has settled in Puget Sound. Certain activities might be dangerous for sensitive groups.

ISSAQUAH, WA - You might notice increased smog in Puget Sound Monday as smoke from a distant wildfire drifts into the region.

According to the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA), air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive groups in the Cascade foothills. Meanwhile, air quality will be "moderate" for everyone else in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. That means you should probably avoid vigorous outdoor activity, even if you're healthy.

The smog should mostly clear out by Tuesday, according to the PSCAA. There are multiple wildfires burning in the state, but a wildfire in Siberia is to blame for the smog in Puget Sound.
