For the first time, the legendary Triple XXX Root Beer in Issaquah will be the site of a car show strictly for plug-in electric vehicles. The Spring Electric Vehicle Show on Sunday, May 11 is part of Triple XXX’s regular Sunday car show roster that typically features classic cars and collections from local car clubs. The Triple XXX Root Beer Drive-In is located at Front Street and Gilman Boulevard, just off I-90 in Issaquah. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, dozens of electric vehicles, both conversions and production, will be on display in what could be the biggest all-electric vehicle exhibit ever in the Northwest. Families can learn about the advantages and benefits of electric driving from owners of the Nissan Leaf, Tesla, Mitsubishi and more. A raffle with donated prizes will raise money for Charge for Change – building EV charging infrastructure. The drawing is at 1 p.m. For more details, see www.SeattleEVA.org.
