Master Chorus Eastside presents Sound Imaginarium: Things that go bump in the night

Ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night can haunt our dreams, and even our music! Master Chorus Eastside delves into the musical worlds of the mysterious, the otherworldly, and sometimes the wacky in Sound Imaginarium: Things That Go Bump in the Night. Stimulate your imagination with Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst, complete with bass drum and thunder sheet, David Brunner’s lighthearted Jabberwocky, and a new work by artistic director Dr. Linda Gingrich, set to the words of the old Scottish prayer that is our theme. “There is a genuine sense of play that runs through the music in this concert,” says Gingrich. “We begin and end with lullabies, and everything in between is either a dream or a nightmare! But really, an entertaining nightmare.”
