Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Cascade Passes
Forecasts indicate 4 to 11 inches of snow will fall through Saturday morning in the Cascades area.
ISSAQUAH, WA - Trips across the Cascades will be tricky throughout today and into Saturday. Up to 11 inches of new snow might fall starting noon Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
The entire Cascade range from the Canadian border to Oregon is under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Saturday.
"A winter weather advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving," the weather service wrote in the advisory.

WSDOT did not have any travel restrictions across Snoqualmie Pass as of Friday morning, but expect that to change. About 6 inches of snow will fall this afternoon at elevations above 1,000 feet. I-90 reaches that elevation right about at the intersection of SR 18.
