Woman Pulls Car Thief Out Of Her Truck, Suspect Swims Away
The incident happened last week in Snoqualmie, and the suspect was arrested after a brief chase across the Snoqualmie River.

SNOQUALMIE, WA - In an incredibly bold move, a local woman took her car back from a thief as he was driving away with it, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. The incident happened April 6 along the 900 block of Meadowbrook Way Southeast in Snoqualmie. The woman noticed the man trying to drive her car away, and that's when she sprung into action.
The incident happened near a busy intersection west of Mt. Si High School that contains a few commercial businesses. According to King County, the suspect hopped in the woman's truck and began backing out of a parking space. The woman ran over to the truck and pulled the car thief out - and then he started running.
He fled on foot from the scene, and King County Sheriff's deputies arrived and chased the suspect through Snoqualmie. King County's Guardian One helicopter arrived to help. At one point, the suspect ran through someone's backyard, and the homeowner chased him away.

The suspect ended up jumping into the freezing Snoqualmie River and swimming across - but he was caught on the other side by police.
He was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of auto theft, King County said. Here's a video of Guardian One tracking the suspect:
