• Alaska Airlines faces $165K penalty for allegedly letting drunken passengers board flights (komonews.com) — SeaTac-based Alaska Airlines is facing a proposed $165,000 FAA penalty for allegedly allowing visibly intoxicated passengers to board flights in 11 incidents between 2024 and 2025. The airline says it has strengthened training for staff, believes it now meets federal standards, and has 30 days to respond to regulators’ allegations. 
• White Center shooting prompts multi-agency response; police search for suspect (king5.com) — SeaTac-assigned King County deputies helped respond after shots were fired in nearby White Center late Saturday morning, though no one was hit. Investigators say the suspect and victim know each other, but the identified suspect was still at large as of early afternoon despite a K-9, drone, and perimeter search.
