Cold, Dry Weather Forecast To Kick Off 2nd Half Of November In WA
A trend of cool and clear days is approaching Western Washington and may stick around until Thanksgiving week.

SEATTLE — Crisp, clear days should be the norm for most of the extended forecast period, and climatologists favor the trend sticking around for at least the next 10 days. Apart from a slight chance for some rain over Veterans Day and a few clouds Sunday, Western Washington should be looking up at clearer skies for quite a while. But even with more sunshine, the chill in the air is here to stay.
"Upper-level ridging looks to reestablish itself into Saturday, kick-starting what could be prolonged dry but cool spell well into next week," wrote Devore'a McMillian, an NWS Seattle meteorologist. "Daytime highs are to be in the mid to upper 40s today through Saturday. Overnight lows are to range throughout the 30s but could bottom out lower under clearing skies for rural areas away from water sources."
A blocking pattern should keep the region dry and cool through at least Wednesday, and new climate outlooks favor those conditions stretching on through next weekend. The odds shift back in favor of precipitation for the week leading up to Thanksgiving, but temperatures could moderate a bit by then.
