SEATTLE, WA - The wife of a crew member of the missing Destination fishing vessel has identified her husband, according to KOMO News.

Gail O'Grady, a Poulsbo resident, said that her husband, Larry, has been a member of the Destination crew for 20 years, and has up to 30 years experience fishing in Alaska.

The Destination, a crabbing boat based in Seattle, sent a distress signal on Saturday morning. When the U.S. Coast Guard arrived at the scene where the signal was sent from, they found a debris field, including an oil sheen and a life preserver from the Destination.

"Whatever did happen happened very fast," Gail O'Grady told KOMO News.

The Coast Guard was combing the area where the Destination went missing - two miles off the coast of the isolated St. George island in the Bering Sea - all weekend with planes, helicopters, and a cutter ship. Private vessels were also assisting in the search. The residents of St. George are helping by combing the island's coastline for signs of the crew.
