Donald Trump Boycott: Seattle-based Companies Make the List

There are at least three Seattle-area brands included on the list of companies to boycott Donald Trump.

SEATTLE, WA - The aphorism "vote with your wallet" has been getting quite workout since Donald Trump was elected president.

The group Grab Your Wallet has been keeping a running list of companies to avoid since Trump's election, and there are several companies based in the area on the list: Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and Amazon.com.

The group is continuously updating its list as companies either drop Trump-related products - as Nordstrom is reportedly doing with Ivanka Trump's fashion line - or new information comes to light, like the L.L. Bean board member's support of Trump.

Although Amazon.com is on the list, the company's stance on Trump is not rosy. Amazon is supporting Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson's suit against Trump's travel ban and refugee executive order. CEO Jeff Bezos sent an email to employees this week making the company's opposition to the order clear:

"Our public policy team in D.C. has reached out to senior administration officials to make our opposition clear," Bezos wrote. "We’ve also reached out to congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle to explore legislative options. Our legal team has prepared a declaration of support for the Washington State Attorney General who will be filing suit against the order. We are working other legal options as well."
