Dump Truck Crash Blocks West Seattle Bridge
The West Seattle Bridge was fully blocked after a dump truck hit a center divider.

SEATTLE, WA — Several lanes of the West Seattle Bridge were blocked through the afternoon after a large dump truck crashed through a center divider Tuesday morning. According to Seattle Police, the truck was driving westbound when it crashed into the jersey barrier near the Spokane/Delridge Way exit, coming to rest partially in an eastbound lane.
SPD said the truck's entire front end broke off and two vehicles driving eastbound were struck by debris. The driver suffered minor injuries. The bridge was briefly closed between Fauntleroy Way Southwest and Interstate 5, but intermittent lane closures carried on throughout the day as crews worked to remove the truck, repair the barrier and clean a diesel spill.
This crash was one of many headaches for drivers around Seattle Tuesday morning. A deadly crash on Airport Way South clogged traffic in SODO for several hours.
