Former Seattle Storm Coach Anne Donovan Dies At 56
The Hall of Fame coach led the Storm to a title in 2004.

SEATTLE, WA - Former Seattle Storm Anne Donovan, 56, died due to heart failure Wednesday, the Associated Press reported. In 2004, Donovan led the Storm to a WNBA title, becoming the youngest coach, at 42, to receive such a distinction. She also won an Olympic gold medal as coach of the 2008 team.
She was inducted into the WNBA Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tenn. last weekend, the AP reported. Donovan also coach other WNBA teams, including the Connecticut Sun, the Charlotte Sting, the Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty.
As a six-foot-eight center, Donovan played on three Olympic teams in the 1980s. She also played professionally in Italy and Japan.
