MacKenzie Scott Files For Divorce: NYT
Billionaire and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has reportedly filed for divorce roughly 18 months after marrying a Seattle science teacher.

SEATTLE — Seattle billionaire, philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott has filed for divorce from her second husband Monday, a few months shy of two years since the pair announced their marriage, according to the New York Times.
Scott married Dan Jewett, a former chemistry teacher at Seattle's Lakeside School, in March 2021, two years after her divorce from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. According to Forbes, Scott's divorce from Bezos provided her a 4 percent stake in the behemoth online retailer, and her current net worth is listed around $35 billion.
Scott signed on to the Giving Pledge in 2019, a commitment to give away at least half of her wealth over her lifetime, and has since donated billions to organizations locally and around the world.
