Richard Sherman Will 'Come Back Stronger' After Achilles Injury
"l will do everything in my power to come back faster and stronger than ever," Sherman said Thursday night.

SEATTLE, WA - The Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night, but the team would probably trade that to get star cornerback Richard Sherman back. Sherman tore his achilles tendon during the third quarter of the game, and he'll likely be sidelined for the rest of the season.
Sherman was optimistic tone after Thursday's game, promising 12s he'll recover quickly and be back better than ever.
"Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers! l will do everything in my power to come back faster and stronger than ever," Sherman wrote on Twitter. "Until then l will be here to cheer my teammates on! l sincerely appreciate the outpouring of support! Means a lot to me."

The Seahawks beat the Cardinals 22-16. But the cost was Sherman and others. According to the Seahawks, other players injured include: left tackle Duane Brown and running back C.J. Prosise with ankle sprains; safety Kam Chancellor suffered a stinger injury; Jarran Reed injured his hamstring; and Sheldon Richardson and Frank Clark injured their thighs.
But the loss of Sherman is big for the Seahawks: he hasn't missed a game as the starting cornberback since 2011, according to the Seahawks.

The Seahawks play the 4-4 Atlanta Falcons Monday night at CenturyLink.
