Seahawks Release Richard Sherman: What Might Be Next
It's been a rumored that the Seahawks would release Sherman. That rumor came true Friday.

SEATTLE, WA - First went Michael Bennett, now Richard Sherman. The Seahawks' bombastic and talented cornerback was released Friday after days of rumors.
But is Sherman gone forever? He told the NFL Network Friday that now as a free agent, the Seahawks could re-sign him.
"They wanted the financial flexibility going into free agency but expressed that they wanted me to return and will be in contact," Sherman told the NFL Network.

Sherman suffered season-ending Achilles injuries at the end of 2017 but will be ready to play next season. Sherman, 29, signed a four-year, $56 million deal with the Seahawks in 2014. As a free agent, Sherman is free to explore working for other teams.
The Seahawks sent defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for wide receiver Marcus Johnson and a fifth-round pick, ESPN reported Wednesday.
