Seahawks To Sign Original LOB Member Byron Maxwell
Legion of Boom member Richard Sherman is out for the season, but another original member of that squad is ready to return.

SEATTLE, WA - The Seahawks will reportedly sign cornerback Byron Maxwell to a one-year deal to fill in the void left by Richard Sherman's season-ending Achilles injury. Maxwell, who played for the Seahawks in 2013-2014, was an original member of the league-leading Legion of Boom defense. Following the 2014 season, Maxwell signed a six-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, then the Miami Dolphins cut him after two games this season, NFL.com reported.
Maxwell had been struggling to recover from a hamstring injury when he was cut. However, the Seahawks can hope Maxwell returns to his 2016 form: Pro Football Focus reported that he allowed the fewest receiving yards per snap of any defensive back in the AFC East.
Maxwell will likely get his first chance when the Seahawks host the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.
