Students at Evergreen Academy™ Preschool in Bothell Plant Gardens
Students planted flowers, vegetables and herbs throughout the schoolyard to celebrate the environment
Students at Evergreen Academy Preschool in Bothell recently planted gardens throughout the schoolyard in celebration of Earth Day. Students and teachers helped pull weeds, add soil and plant flowers, vegetables and herbs. All of the items in the garden were donated by students and their families. Throughout the spring, students will continue to care for the garden as the plants grow. They will use the herbs and vegetables during the year to prepare snacks and other recipes. In the classroom, students have been learning about photosynthesis and the life cycle of plants. Evergreen Academy Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
