Temperatures Near 80 By The Weekend, Forecasters Say

A streak of dry days and abundant sunshine is expected to begin Thursday. High temperatures could flirt with the 80s by Saturday.

SEATTLE, WA — A few patches of rain should clear up after Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, likely setting the groundwork for the warmest weather of the year leading into Mother's Day.

After a quiet Monday, Tuesday is forecast for a slight chance of rain, with an even higher likelihood in the cards for most Wednesday. Tuesday is forecast for highs in the upper 60s before dropping down to the 50s Wednesday.

Forecasters expect Thursday will kick off a multi-day streak of "abundant sunshine" and warmth building into the weekend.
