Voter Registration Deadline In Washington Is Almost Here
This is very important. If you're not registered to vote, Monday is your last day to do it.

SEATTLE, WA - Something like 66 percent of Washington voters cast a ballot in the 2016 election. Pretty high number, right?
It's not high enough.
We can't really run a democracy - nationally, locally, at the state level - if only 66 percent of people participate. Ideally we need 100 percent participation, but even 75 percent would be a big improvement.

Monday is the LAST DAY to register to vote in the upcoming November election. If you're not registered, get yourself down to the closest registration site (you have to go in-person, online registration ended weeks ago) and sign up.
The 2018 mid-term election is really important, no matter your political affiliation. Look at all these important issues on the ballot that YOU get to help decide:

- Do you want big soda companies like Pepsi and Coca-Cola writing local laws?
- Or do you want giant oil companies to buy their way out of paying for pollution they cause?
- Do you want to check Donald Trump by flipping one of the three local Republican-held House seats up this year? (Maybe you want to prevent those seats from being flipped by Democrats. That's fine too!)
- Do you want a state senator who has been accused of rape to be reelected?
- Do you want a man who believes in the "deep state" and who refuses to give press interviews elected to the state Supreme Court?
