Unseasonably Warm Labor Day Forecast In Washington
The warming trend begins Tuesday, kicking off a stretch of clear, sunny days leading into a hotter-than-normal Labor Day weekend.

SEATTLE, WA — Monday marked the last day of meteorological summer, and the autumnal equinox is only a few weeks away, but Washington isn't letting go of the sunshine just yet.
Forecasters are tracking a streak on unseasonably warm days this week, likely heating up above the normal range by Labor Day weekend.

In the Seattle area, afternoon highs in the high 70s or low 80s are likely through the workweek, with the potential for a few extra degrees added on Friday and into the long holiday weekend.

In some areas, lowland temperatures are expected to hit the mid to upper 80s by the weekend, with the hottest temperatures likely in areas south of Olympia. No clouds are on the horizon in the National Weather Service's forecast, and a lack of humidity is likely to bring renewed wildfire concerns by late week.
