Women 'Incapable' Of Knowing Football, Former Seahawk Says On Facebook

SEATTLE, WA - Responding to the recent sexist comments made by Cam Newton to sports reporter Jourdan Rodrigue, former Seahawks player John Moffitt took to Facebook to back up Newtown saying, "Women don't know football."

"Most guys barely do," Moffitt continued in the post. "Stop coming into male spaces and demanding respect. Just because networks like a sexy sideline reporter for you to look at doesn't mean cam [sic] is sexist for questioning the authenticity of her game knowledge."

During a Wednesday press conference, Newton laughed at Rodrigue, who works for the Charlotte Observer, and said "it’s funny to hear a female talk about routes," insinuating she didn't know anything about routes. Newton eventually apologized saying his comments were "degrading and disrespectful."
