• Stanwood begins emergency repairs on 100-year-old dike (heraldnet.com) — Emergency repairs are underway on the aging Skagit Bay Dike west of Stanwood to better protect downtown and 1,800 acres of nearby farmland from flooding. Funded largely by federal American Rescue Plan dollars, the $1.75 million project is the first step in a multi-year, $8 million effort to raise and reinforce the entire 4-mile dike and improve fish passage and wildlife habitat.

  • We live on property and our fifth wheel constantly has mice in it - my husband spray foamed pretty much every crack/entry point he could find, but will periodically find droppings inside, so they must still be getting in here or there.
